This song came to me one morning when I noticed a retired, older man, sitting alone on a parkbench. The cool wind swirled the leaves around him, stirring his memories. For his wife was gone now, and though he always smiled, he missed her. In the middle part of the song, which I call "the waltz" , he is reminiscing about dancing with her and holding her close.
